American Idol Top 10 – Disney Night Preview
American Idol is airing coast-to-coast in order to cast a true, real-time nationwide vote. This week, American Idol‘s Top 10, are performing Disney classics. In an attempt to connect the synergistic dots between Disney, ABC, and Idol, expect a trip to Disneyland matching last year’s show and a few plugs for the soon-to-be-opened “Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.” Disney night, though, is a spot-on drive for a family and millennial viewing audience.
Tonight’s show will narrow narrow to the Top 8 as the competition rolls on. The judges will be taking Disneyland’s Fantasyland by storm with a performance by all three judges, Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie. Guest mentor Rebel Wilson will also join-in on the fun. Glee‘s Lea Michele joins the Top 10 in a “Part of Your World” performance ahead of her role as Ariel in Disney’s The Little Mermaid concert screening at the Hollywood Bowl on May 17th and 18th celebrating the films’ 30th Anniversary. If that’s not enough to fill the show, last year’s Idol winner Maddie Poppe and runner-up (and Maddie’s BF) Caleb Lee Hutchinson, will perform a Disney classic duet.
Take a look at the list below to see what the Top 10 will be singing tonight!
