April 2019.

Yes, T.S. Eliot wrote, “April is the cruelest month,” but he was a master of mashups and remixes. Today he would probably be sued for stealing someone’s riff, even if out of respect and love. He was remixing Chaucer in this case. But that is a rant for another day.
As we hit the mid-point of the second week of April, you may notice something about your life: a lot of screen time. Little screens, medium screens, and big screens.
April is just jammed with content that we have to see, and content we have to rewatch because we want to be prepared for what we are about to see.
Alyssa points out multiple ways to rewatch the various Avenger’s related flicks (read the post here). Not enough screen time, then do them both. But time is short. Start yesterday (yeh, time travel!). Avengers: Endgame hits the big screen on April 26. If you haven’t already purchased tickets you may be out of luck for opening day with sales running 5-1 over Infinity War. That will give you more time to…
catch up on Game of Thrones. You may only have time to watch your favorite episodes before the April 14th final season 8 premiere. How hot is GoT? Well, I guess it can’t really be hot since winter has come, but a recent trip to Heathrow and its duty-free shops suggested GoT mania. I wanted some Targaryen scotch but was told they can’t keep it in stock. I opted for Johnny Walker’s White Walker blend from duty-free on the plane.
But that isn’t all. Here is a list of all my genre biased top shows and movies that are making a splash, a spell or an annoying nudge into my life in April 2019:
April 1
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (CW)
April 4
Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger Season 2 (Freeform)
Pet Sematary (theater near you)
April 5
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (Netflix)
I’ve already completely binged this even darker season. Not just another handmaid’s tale. You’ll get it after you watch it.
The Tick (Amazon Prime)
More blue stupid. Love it.
Out Planet (Netflix)
Sir David Attenborough out an about again. If you look closely at your pillow, you will it is made up mostly of small, almost invisible dust mites and their feces. I don’t think the show will go there, but I want to hear Attenborough talk about the ecosystem of a pillow.
Shazam! (theater near you)
April 7
A Discovery of Witches (BBC America/AMC)
Killing Eve (BBC America)

April 12
Black Hole Hunters (Smithsonian)
The Silence (Netflix)
Missing Link (theater near you)
Hellboy (theater near you)
April 14
Game of Thrones Season 8 (HBO)
Dragons. Incest. Killing. Dragons. Incest. Killing. Who will sit on the Iron Throne and what will be his or her linage that seals the deal (until you know. dragons, incest and killing).
Les Misérables (PBS)
April 16
Super Monster Furever Friends (Netflix)

April 17
The Magicians Season 4 wraps (SyFy)

April 18
Star Trek: Discovery Season 2 finale (CBS All Access)
Spock!! Well, or Burnham!

April 24
Avengers: Endgame (theater near you)
April 30
NOS4A2 (AMC)

Real fictional vampires. Old school.
So much! Watching something we missed? Let us know where and when in the comments!
