Marvel Calls Fans Back to Theaters with New Phase 4 Trailer
Calling all Marvel fans! New movies are coming soon!
After a long year without Marvel in 2020 and now a year filled with Marvel on Disney+, we are finally getting back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as theaters re-open around the world. In the Phase 4 trailer, Marvel calls back to the before times when the Marvel hype train was on track and at full speed. The trailer also shares clips of the new films coming this summer through 2023!
The biggest reveal was two new titles, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and The Marvels, previously known as Black Panther 2 and Captain Marvel 2. It remains to be seen how the Black Panther sequel will deal with the death of Chadwick Boseman and how the film story will change or if another character will take on the mantle of the title hero.
There are some new clips from Black Widow. The film was supposed to be released last May but has been moved for the last time to July.
The trailer also includes the first footage from The Eternals, out this November. This film is highly anticipated because director Chloé Zhao is the reigning Best Director winner for her work on Nomadland. There are rumors from inside Marvel that suggest The Eternals may be the best film they produced. Kevin Fiege suggested this film may be the best chance of Marvel winning Best Picture. At this point, Black Panther is the Best Picture nomination for Marvel Studios.
