James Bond is back! The eagerly awaited 25th Bond film, No Time to Die, releases this October. No Time to Die trailers have been shared since 2019, but with the delayed release due to the pandemic, this trailer serves as more of a calendar reminder. So, save the date! Bond is Back on October 8th.

This film stars Daniel Craig revisiting the Bond role one last time. This story does carry on from his previous Bond films. It used to be that Bond films didn’t have intertwined storylines, but modern franchise audiences expect more of a sequel than stand-alone films. This film will feature a new villain, Safin, played by Rami Malik. The film is described as, “Recruited to rescue a kidnapped scientist, globe-trotting spy James Bond finds himself hot on the trail of a mysterious villain, who’s armed with a dangerous new technology.” Ana De Armas joins the cast as a new Bond girl. Also, Léa Seydoux reprises her role as Madeleine Swann.

With films like this finally releasing, audiences may be more inclined to see this in a theater. This film won’t release on VOD or streaming, but only in theaters. James Bond is as classic a cinematic character as you can get, so this may be just to ticket to get people back in the seats this fall. This film does mark the conclusion of Daniel Craig’s time as James Bond, which may be motivation enough to get theater-goers back to cinemas. A few weeks ago Black Widow and F9 called fans back to theaters to great success, but neither film broke $100 million for the opening weekend. If it doesn’t happen sooner, maybe Bond can break the barrier.
