Marvel Studios has released the first trailer for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings! The film focuses on this lesser-known Marvel character, but this will surely bring Shang-Chi to a whole new fandom. In theaters on September 3rd, the film stars Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Awkwafina, Michelle Yeoh, Tony Leung Chiu-wai as Mandarin.

At this point, we don’t know how this film will fold into the rest of Marvel Studios Phase 4. This film will make it to theaters after Black Widow but before The Eternals, which is still slated for a November release. The scheduling of Phase 4 has been up in the air since the pandemic reset the timeline. Although, things do seem to be getting back to the original plan for theatrical releases, at least in terms of chronology. The remainder of Phase 4 is on the TV side for Disney+. WandaVision and Falcon and Winter Solider are big hits with Marvel fans, so it remains to be seen if any characters from Shang-Chi will find their way to Disney+
