Seattle’s Emerald City Comic Con Starts Tomorrow: What and Who to Expect #ECCC2019

Emerald City Comic Con (ECCC) returns to Seattle for the seventeenth year tomorrow. The show will run from Thursday, March 14 through Sunday, March 17.

ECCC showrunner ReedPop expects 98.000 fans to attend the show over its 4 days.

Who to see

As in previous years, ECCC 2019 has attracted top entertainment industry talent to talk on the main stage, sign autographs and deliver photo ops.

Here are some of the celebrity highlights:

  • A Boy Meets World reunion with Ben Savage, Danielle Fishel, Will Friedle, and William Daniels)
  • Rupert Grint
  • The Twelfth Doctor, Peter Capaldi
  • Katherine Barrell and Dominique Provost-Chalkley from Wynona Earp
  • Sonequa Martin-Green, Rainn Wilson, Jason Issacs from Star Trek Discovery
  • Much of the cast of Stranger Things. (Caleb McLaughlin, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Sadi Sink
  • George Takei (Fabulous!)
  • Gwendoline Christie (Winter is Coming, Star Wars already did).
  • Ian Somerhalder (The Vampire Diaries)
  • Mary McDonnell (Battlestar Galactica, Independence Day)
  • The team from Critical Role

What to do

Other activities and events of note include:

  • Artist Alley with over 645 artists, writers, colorists and animators on WSCC Level 6.
  • Expanded gaming on two floors in the TCC Lower Level and Level 1
  • Dark Horse Comics will have a number of their writers and artists available for signings (usually free books and free signatures), along with exclusives.
