Star Trek has long stood as the gold standard of sci-fi franchises. The work across decades found an audience with every generation in its nearly 60-year history. Every era of Stark Trek includes television and film, but television shows are the most popular. We have analyzed the data to find the Top 5 Star Trek TV Series of all time.

A brief history – Star Trek started on television in 1966, created by Gene Rodenberry. Now referred to as Star Trek: The Original Series (TOS), Captain Kirk and the crew of Enterprise traveled around the universe for a mission that took them to “strange new worlds” each week. Canceled by NBC in 1969, the series found a new home in syndication, thanks in large part to its owners, Desilu, the creators of the television syndication model. For one season, there was Star Trek: The Animated Series in 1973. In 1987, Star Trek: The Next Generation (TNG) premiered, running for 7 seasons. Since then, seven Star Trek television shows have aired with four on Paramount+ now.

Rotten Tomatoes has retroactively created scores for older shows based on new reviews or old reviews that have been shared online. Newer shows have more reviews and possibly more accurate scoring.
