The biggest panel this Comic Con was the return of the Marvel Studios Hall H Panel. Right as the panel was starting, the news broke that Avengers: Endgame became the number one movie of all time! Finally besting 2009’s Avatar, the Infinity Saga’s final box office statement feels almost as scripted as the ending of Marvel movies. Marvel does feel that the Infinity Saga was the end of an era, so the Marvel Studios Hall H panel was all about Phase 4.

The highly anticipated announcement had some surprises. We learned Natalie Portman will be taking on the female Thor mantle alongside Chris Hemsworth in Thor: Love and Thunder, in theaters November 5, 2021. Scarlett Johansson was on hand to share the long-awaited Black Widow movie, already in production, in theaters May 1, 2020.

Angelina Jolie and her castmates for The Eternals made their Comic Con debut as a group sharing what they could from their upcoming feature which will premiere November 6, 2020. Another new character set will come from Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, in theaters February 12, 2021.

Doctor Strange is getting a sequel with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, out May 7, 2021. Other current Avengers are moving to TV via the Disney+ streaming service due out in November. Hawkeye, Loki, Wanda Vision, The Falcon and The Winter Solider, and animated series What if…? will all feature the current MCU actors and al are ordered for one season.

The final announcement was news we had not heard before. Blade is joining the MCU as Oscar winner Mahershala Ali will play the title character.
